  • New "New Style Leslie Belt Too Short!" 122XB

Just received a new drive belt from BBOrgan and it's over 1/2" shorter than the original. Even with the spring lifted on the tensioner at the motor and it pushed all the way in, it still won't reach to the motor pulley from the rotor.

Should I try to stretch this out?

UPDATE! Oh boy, dummy time! I tried putting the belt on the motor pulley first, THEN rotating the belt onto the horn pulley, then putting the spring tail back into the tensioner. It was tight, but when the belt was finally on, it still had room for a little play in the tensioner.

Sheesh! Sorry for the fake news here!
