First time poster. I know NOTHING about Hammonds or Leslies, other than that they sound killer and some of my fave players used them. I have happened upon some Leslie amps from a guy who had two B3's which he maintained and rebuilt himself. The two amps I have I assume are working because that's just how this guy was, but I need to verify that they do indeed work, but I have no idea how to do that. One is 22H missing 3 tubes, and the other is a 47 that looks ready to go. The inside of the amps are pristine. Maybe he replaced the caps, rewired, etc., because they look almost as good as they did the day the rolled out of the Leslie factory. I also have the combo pre-amp, and the cable that goes between the two. The pre-amp is model 020875. First, how do I test these things to make sure they're good (don't have the Leslie speaker), and second, what have I actually got here? Thanks!

Your combo preamp will NOT work with the 22H so, don't try.
Both these amps were single speed models for Leslies that had fast/stop.

You might post pictures of the underside of the amps so we who rebuild them every week can see what you're dealing with.
If you see any red capacitors that say "Tiny Chief" on them, do not use the amps until those have been replaced. They are guaranteed time-bombs.
Keep in mind that these amps were made between 1959 and 1963. Some parts can no longer be trusted. They may be tube-rectified or solid-state since this transition happened in the middle of production of these amps. Early silicon diodes were not as reliable as they are now.I'm David. 'Dave' is someone else's name.
