  • Two questions on Leslie 900

    Greetings,
    New member here.
Considering the purchase of a 900 with combo preamp II.
I've found lot's of useful doc's here, thanks so much, but still have the following questions:

    1) How does the top drive pulley attach to the white motor shaft?
So far I'm just looking at pictures of this unit, and the pulley is not attached, is it simply bolted through the pulley into a plastic shaft?

    2) Is the 900 really compatible with the combo II?
My research shows the PLUS is the preferred unit with the 900.

Forgive my newbee questions and thanks in advance.
    Dave

Also, It appears as though the center two of the six output transistors have been removed on the bass amplifier...
Could the unit still work in this condition with lower output wattage?

The amplifier is not an amplifier with 6 transistors. This is 3 amps (Bass, Treble, Reverb) having 2 transistors.
These 3 amps are quite similar.
If the two transistors in the middle are missing in fact all this amp has been discarded.
May be it is the reverb amp ?

      Here compatibilities with preamps :

You were correct. Picked it up and top and bottom amps are working just no reverb amp.
There's no reverb switch on the Preamp II anyway so until I figure out the pinout for my A100, I'll use it as is.
        Thanks!!
        Not bad for $400.
