  • Connecting Crumar mojo XT to Leslie 51

    Hello

I'd like to ask if its possible to connect a Crumar mojo XT to a Leslie 51 using the 11pin out of the organ. Does it work with a 6 to 11 adapter? Chances to switch the Leslie speed with the controls of the organ also? is it possible to adapt the reverb signal to the 2nd channel of the Leslie? Maybe somebody knows? Thank you.

The 51 is a single-speed, so you won't be able to change the speed easily without modification. Benton Electronics makes a very good 2-speed controller for it. https://bentonelectronics.com/shop/m...ed-conversion/

Forgot to tell that the the 51 is converted to 2-speed. It's actually like a 251. But I can imagine that this Leslie interface from Crumar only fits to newer models like the 3300.

The speed voltage control wire on the 11 pin could be sent to a midi relay?
There are midi relays available to convert midi to 'mechanical' or electronic functions.
Midi Solutions manufactures such a device.
The device recognizes fast/slow/stop or whatever midi sys ex command you prefer.
Smaller than a guitar FX pedal.

Is it possible? Yes. Is it easy? No. You could use a Hammond 1147 adapter, but you would have to rewire the input on the 51 to match the 147 (6W) standard. Doing so would lose the stationary channel. You could construct a custom interface, as I did, using a power supply, a preamp module, and solid state relays, but it's a lot of work.

I see... not that easy. Another cradle is the different voltage of Leslie (110 V) and organ. Maybe easier to use the 330 Leslie which is 11pin.

Thats the conclusion I reached when I had an 11 pin clone. I got a 330 for what I could have spent on the 1174 for my 147 or 9 pin version for my 770.

You mean this combination is working properly? Can you switch the speed with the onboard controls from the organ?

                  Yes I could.

I also see you’re in Switzerland. Are you on 230 volt mains? I was told by Hammond UK that they stopped making the 230 volt versions of the modern hook up boxes because EU law banned them. I was going to buy a US spec model and modify it but they were temporarily out of production at the time and had none for sale. You find 230 volt ones on eBay but they are scarce.

Yes 230 volt. You are writing about the 6 to 11 pin adapter? It's the Crumar mojo XT I have an eye on. I don't own one yet. I want to clarify if I can connect with a 330 Leslie.
