  • Baldwin Model 'N & O' Tone Cabinet Amplifier

Does anyone have any data on the 6L6 amplifier in these tone cabinets. Any leads would be appreciated. My research so far has lead me to a possible title (PC 40W) and the tone cabinet could be related to a Baldwin Model 45 organ. Believe it or not, I even have the 30' inter-connect 6 pin cable. Thanks, Ed.

I don't have any specific data, but most of the tube power amps for organs were relatively simple. They needed output transformers with good power bandwidth in the bass for organ pedal tones. With 2 x 6L6 in cathode bias, they put out around 20-25W, 40W in fixed bias. Power could double with 4 x 6L6. They tended to be fairly rugged, designed to be run for extended periods of time and to have long service lives (compared to, say, home HiFi tube amps).
