  • Leslie 760 triac

could someone tell me the proper replacement for the triac used in the motor control circuit in the power amp in the Leslie 760/710?
    Thanks Jim

If your 760 definitely is using triacs, and not SCRs, just about any 400 volt, 4 to 6 amp triac in a TO220 package should work. I just happen to have a *bunch* of surplus triacs (SC141D, 400V/6A) that should work nicely. If you'll PM me your address I will send you some for free!

That's a nice gesture Tom. There are two versions of the circuit, an early one with four scr's and a late one with two trials. The 760 service manual shows one version and the 710 service manual shows the other. Both available from Captain Foldbacks website.

Thanks Dave, I think I have at least 500 of these if anyone needs some 8) They are leftovers from an old product run and have no current application for me.
