I have found a way of making the connection to my 147 a bit safer. In my small studio the back of the Leslie is against the wall and I am worried about the rigid cable pulling the 6 pin plug to the side. I found some of these amphenol "back shells" in my spares box. It recesses the plug nicely so there is minimal sideways movement. These back shells often appear on ebay. They do not work on solid state PSU's though as the circuit board would clash with it.
The black cable on the right is another modification I did today. One end is soldered to the brake jumper plug and the other to an in line lamp switch so that the slow motors can be switched off.
