I have a new cable that does not fit tight in either end of the Amphenol plugs. Leslie is an old 147 amp and the other end is a Leslie combo preamp pedal. Sometimes I have a small amout of static. Locating the cable so there is side tension on it seems to resolve the problem. I've thought about slightly bending or flattening the pins but don't yet have the courage. I did coat the pins with a gold contact enhancing solution but that didn't help. Any good ideas?

I don't know if it's a "good" idea, or the best idea, but I'd be keen to take off the back-shells.
Inside, you'll see that the female contacts are a couple of pieces of parallel material.
Squeeze those together with some long skinny needle nose pliers.
Test fit before reinstalling the back-shells. Should have a bit more friction.
In fairness, I've not had to do this. This is just how I'd approach it.
