Rare in the UK, but I guess there are plenty in the USA. Great sounding cabinet if you have a 2, 3 or 4 channel home organ with a leslie channel (or with electronic trem and provision for external leslie). Will work in pseudo single channel mode without mods, as the bass from all channels is filtered and sent to the straight channel that has the 15" woofer. Bit of a waste to do that IMHO, when there are cheaper 2 channel options like the 710, 715, 720 etc.

Worth it? Probably. If I had something like a Hammond Elegante or my old Kawai SR6, I'd pay that for it.
It's not what you play. It's not how you play. It's the fact that you're playing that counts.

The 740 was the "ONLY 4 CHANNEL 11 PIN … made for Home Organs." Right, if you don't count the 750 & 914, etc. The 740 was a good Leslie.

There was also one with a cloth front, maybe a variant of the 750. And IIRC, there was another 4 channel cabinet designed for use with the 'Hammonds that never were' the top of the line models 340 and 350. Prototypes of each built, shown, cancelled and destroyed. :(

Was also the 3 channel 412 model, originally sold with super-b model that had cloth front and proper drum rotor. Was a loud leslie but suffered from speaker failure, some of the speakers just fell to bits.

Too expensive for what it is.

De 412 Leslie is mooi om te zien, maar de speakers, vooral de leslie speaker is niet echt van goede makelij. Wat zou een goed alternatief zijn voor deze speaker?

Translation: The 412 Leslie is nice to see, but the speakers, especially the leslie speaker, are not really good. What would be a good alternative for this speaker?

I own a leslie 740 it has 4 channels and 5 amps very loud leslie 220 watts however I had to do some work to get it to work on my m3 had to come up with a way to send audio to each channel but I found that the setup is more to the use of the keyboard and woofer which is a stationary channel and the rotary channel that powers the horn rotosonic drum so I used a small tube preamp to split the audio into 2 channels and I use the other 2 channels for reverb in mono and it is a very nice sound.
