  • Connecting Allen speakers

Hello everyone! I hope all of you are doing well.

I'm looking to see how I may be able to connect some Allen speakers to a computer since I would like to use them to playback audio from Hauptwerk. I don't currently have the speakers with me but I believe I have 4 HC 14's or HC 15's.

Has anybody ever done this with these speakers? Or maybe used the speakers for a stereo system?

Connect them to an amplifier as you would any other speaker. I'm using HC-12's for my Hauptwerk system.

I've seen people advertise Allen HC-x speakers multiple times online, showing photos of them connected to their home stereo system. I believe the phrase used in one ad was, "...a real kick-_ss sound." (And, yes, they sold quickly with that ringing endorsement!)
Larry is my name; Allen is an organ brand. Allen RMWTHEA.3 with RMI Electra-Piano; Allen 423-C+Gyro; Britson Opus OEM38; Steinway AR Duo-Art 7' grand piano, Mills Violano Virtuoso with MIDI; Hammond 9812H with roll player; Roland E-200; Mason&Hamlin AR Ampico grand piano, Allen ADC-5300-D with MIDI, Allen MADC-2110.

Would you mind sending pictures of your system and what you use for the setup? I'm trying to have at least 4 channels. How do you control the audio rerouting to different channels using this amp you use?

Yes absolutely. I've read how so many people really enjoy the sound that comes from these once hooked up.

My Hauptwerk system has 6 channels configured as three stereo pairs. Each channel is driven by an Allen S-100 amplifier. The amplifiers are connected to an M-Audio 610 audio interface that is connected to the computer via a firewire interface.
