I would like to throw a question out to the members. I am working on a "labor of love" for a small church that I play for during the summer months. I have attached some pictures so you have some idea of the small space involved. There is a speaker shelf covered with grillcloth above the window in the last photo and in the fourth photo, we would need to put speakers in the area above the hymnboard. I am converting an old Allen 903 console to midi (Artisan) and am planning to use 7 Ahlborn modules for sound. (I know it is old technology, but I have them and I used Hauptwerk in a church situation once and didn't like it). I have two 8 channel qsp cx168, 160 watt amps. My question is: Do any of you have experience using multiple small speakers? The space is very limited and I need 7 speakers on each side of the chancel (left and right for each Ahlborn unit) plus a 15" speaker for the pedal 16' sounds. What would you recommend for speakers to cover the manual stops? Any other helpful suggestions?
I also have two Walker WM3311 speakers that I could put one on each side of the chancel. Then we would have to mix the sound down to only two channels. There just isn't much room for speakers.
Thanks.
