  • Name That Speaker The Rodgers Way

    Greetings To The Organ World!

Well my quest for speakers for the big Rodgers 990 continues, and a dealer has contacted me with these beauties. He says that they came in with a mid 90's large Rodgers, and he thinks they would be just the ticket for my needs. They do not have any tags, or identifying marks. Does anybody know what they really are? Are they legitimate organ speakers? Are they Rodgers speakers? If you can answer any of those questions, and had a set of these kicking around your shop looking for a home, how much would you charge to re-home them? Thanks
for your help in advance. :)

They might be Rodgers FR 5.0--3 way speaker with 12 inch woofer, 4.8 inch midrange, and dome tweeter. The units I've seen have the port on the front though. Should be fine for anything except the channel with the 32 ft voices.

Usually, these had a Rodgers nameplate on the speaker baffle and a stick-on serial number label on the back--so, it's hard to say for sure.
