• Digital Reverb Software

Hi, I am using the free version of Hauptwerk with the St. Annes Moseley sample set. I can't stand how dry the sound is! There is no reverb. I was wondering if there is a free or low cost software that adds reverb.

    Thanks. Joel

    Re: Digital Reverb Software

If you have $60 for Reaper Audio it includes a free convolution reverb plugin. If you try it don't be put off by the initial preset values. Once set up properly it works fine. I use Pristine Space by Voxengo, but there's a nominal charge for that. I completely agree that the dry organ samples need some reverb in the home. Even an old fashioned reverb sounds better than nothing at all.

      Thanks John.

I have Sony Acid. It looks like it could be similar. Is there a way to add reverb with Sony Acid? Is there a way to use VST effects in Hauptwerk. I don't know how that would work.

If money was no cost I would recommend Audioease's Altiverb. Its the best that I have used so far, but costs a fortune.

Freeverb3 looks like it would be worth checking out. I have zero personal experience with this one, so who knows...

I've had good success with Freeverb convolver VST by hosting Haupwerk VST and Freeverb3 in Cantabile Lite, Reverberate is also very good and comes with great presets (Reverberate has a good demo, and the full version does not cost too much).

If you need help with any of these do ask :)
