  • How can I add MIDI to a Yamaha Electone FX-10

Does anyone know of a product I can buy to make my Yamaha Electone FX-10 MIDI capable? I recently acquired it and would like to use it to drive Hauptwerke.

Any advice would be much appreciated!

I have not tried anything like that, but someone has:

There have been a few devices that have taken the data from the MDR 'line' and converted it to MIDI. But, as the organ is now very much vintage, they're probably all gone. Kenton Electronics in the UK made such a device, I've fitted a couple and they worked perfectly.

I've not heard of the one named above but it's worth a try.
It's not what you play. It's not how you play. It's the fact that you're playing that counts.
