  • Rodgers 702 to MacBook Air MIDI Interface Recommendation

I have a Rodgers 702 with MIDI IN/OUT/THRU connections. I wish to use it to input into Finale which is loaded onto a MacBook Air running High Sierra 10.13.5. Do you have a recommendation for a basic USB MIDI interface that would work well between the Rodgers organ and the MacBook?

Several years ago I arranged music with Finale using a USB Midisport 2x2 from M-Audio between a Korg keyboard and a Dell Laptop. The Midisport is not supported by Mac's High Sierra OS.

    Thanks,
    Keith

Instead of searching, I started browsing thru the posts in this section and came upon the following which is helpful insofar as basic MIDI sequencing is concerned:

    https://organforum.com/forums/forum/...midi-converter

I'm sure I will have a question later when I attempt to attach this console to the Opus-Two pipe organ control system. Stop tabs send proprietary Sysex signals instead of MIDI, so I will have to figure out how to send my stop signals to the relay.

    Thanks,
    Keith

I was having similar problem with Macbook Air and non-compatible USB Midi (only for Win). But I found a help, that even non “non-compatible“ devices works sometimes with “generic“ drivers. And this advice worked for me. Sorry, I do not have a link with step by step explanation, cause it was years ago I solved it.
