  • Rogers MX-200 sound module with Rogers Organ Models 520, 525, 527, 530, and 535

I found these notes setting up the Rogers MX-200 sound module very helpful:

"Using The Mx-200 Quick-Key Access System with Organ Models 520, 525, 527, 530, and 535 The Quick-Key Access System of the MX-200 is illustrated on the MX-200's yellow card and in the MX-200's Owner's Manual. The MIDI voices of the Quick Key Access system require an address of a PC and MSB number (also known as a Variation number), which can be achieved with the Rodgers Organ Models 520, 525, 527, 530, and 535 following this method:

    1. Hold SET and press the bottom of a MIDI coupler tilt tab. The tab will flash. Release SET but continue holding the MIDI coupler tab.

    2. With these organs, one must first assign the MSB (Variation) number. Press one of the following keys on the SWELL MANUAL to assign the MSB (Variation) number desired:
    MSB 65 = Swell Lowest E
    MSB 66 = Swell Lowest F
    MSB 67 = Swell Lowest F#
    MSB 68 = Swell Lowest G
    MSB 69 = Swell Lowest G#

    3. Release the MIDI coupler tilt tab. The tab will continue to flash.

    4. Press the key corresponding to the Quick Key Access chart to assign the desired PC number. The MIDI coupler tilt tab remains on steady. The MIDI voice is now playable. It can be set to a piston for later recall.

To set octave transpose, Velocity, Channel Reassignment, etc., please refer to the MIDI section of your organ's Owner's Manual."
