I think Andy's right. It looks like an MDC-32 with a couple of different tabs (from anything I can find online). The MDC-30 doesn't have as many pistons and the MDC-31 seems to have all white general tabs.
Steve, let us know what you find out.

I doubt that it would have been a custom job, as my dad would more likely have bought a stock model. Mom didn't have any particular need for customization - this was actually her first organ.

It has a full pedal board that is curved and goes from one side of the instrument to the other.

I will check under the lid next time I go over to the house.

It's an MDC thirty something, but I can't find a photo of the MDC30, 31 or 32 that exactly matches the number of pistons, tabs on the stop rail or the buttons at the left of the accompaniment manual!

Open it it up as toodles suggested and tell us ! It's entirely possible that it's a slightly customised model in the MDC 3x series, that Allen built for a customer's specific requirements.

My guess would be an MDC-12. Does it only have 12 or 13 spinet pedals? If so, it is probably the Theatre Compact (MDC-12). It could also be a and MDC-30 or 31 if it has more pedals.

If you lift the lid on the console (the part that has the music rack attached), there should be a plate that shows the model number and serial number on the brace that runs from the left to the right side of the back. That is almost invariably where Allen places that information. It will be stamped on a metal plate, and if it is dark, a flashlight will help you read the information.

    Allen organ model identification, please

Can anyone help me identify the model name / number on my mom's Allen organ?

All I remember is that I think she got it in the 1980's and it cost as much as a small car at the time.
