  • those bumper sleeves on Rodgers 321 keys

I found an old post that talks about them:
jbird: ......Many of the key actions that have been used by Rodgers and other builders have a metal post with a 90 degree bend at the top that serves as the upstop for the keys. There is one of these bent posts under each key. The 90 degree bend faces forward (toward the seated player) and will have a rubber "sleeve" that is pressed onto it to quiet the slap you'd otherwise hear when you release the keys....
I wonder if there is another repair for those, besides obtaining the original bumpers which I 'm sure are not available. I thought maybe a piece of surgical tubing?.

Those sound like Pratt-Read keyboards or something very similar. I found replacement up-stop bumpers from a supplier on *Bay that sold them in full-keyboard sets.

We use automobile windshield washer hose on our Moller pedal keyers. If you can't find genuine replacements you might give that a try. Auto parts stores usually carry it.

I ordered some Pratt Read bumpers off Ebay. We'll see. May be I 'll try the hose next.
