  • Moving ADC 4600

Please forgive another naive question. I'd like to have my ADC 4600 moved from one room to another. That would require a tight turn, too tight to maneuver conventionally. Can the organ safely be tipped on end to make the turn, or should I give up and keep it where it is? Thanks for reading and responding.

If everything inside the console is tied down (as it was when delivered by Allen), then there is no problem to move the organ on its back or side. Anything that is loose, though, could move, be damaged, or cause damage. Note that the lid is hinged (you knew that, I'm sure), and needs to be held in place during this sort of operation.

Either tie down the lid as Toodles says, or remove the lid. That said, however, there may be cords you would need to disconnect in that case. Also, use a carpet or blanket to move the organ once on end if you don't have a dolly.
