Due to our non-profit status, I was able to negotiate a very affordable price. It's one hour from my house. I went to look at it last Wednesday, and my friend(Allen expert) played it. It sounds amazing! All 7 speakers were in a sound proof "chamber" in the attic, and spoke through grilles into a high ceilinged living room.
The (deceased) owner's son told me today that the speakers were taken down. Next Saturday a crew will go get it.
It may be a bit tricky as we have to upend it in a hallway, rotate it, and then tip it out the front door which is fortunately wide enough. Turns out it's a smaller console than I thought, which is advantageous for many reasons.
It's going into a fledgeling performing art center which is currently under renovation. I hope to talk to the architect soon about "chambers".
Its dual classical/theatre capabilities is the reason we acquired it. The center has a wide range of performances planned. Although everything is virtual for now.
