  • problem with conn theater organ

    Hi there!

I am marco from the netherlands! sinds my grandfather past away we get his 30 years old conn theater organ! it is a nice thing, but it dont fit with the rest of our furniture. so we want to put him upstairs! there is only one problem. he is littlebit to big for the staircase, because there is a little twist in the stair. when i open the backsite of the organ i see thousands of smal wires. i am technical (i build computers and stuf like that) but this is really to much for me. does somebody have experiens to make a organ like this a little bit smaller for moving? because its looks like al the wood is glued together.

i hope somebody have really good ideas, because he can not stay down stairs and sell him is also not a good option because of the emotional value of it!

    greetings marco

Hi Marco, welcome to the forums! What model is your Conn? Could you put the organ on its side and move it up the stairs that way?

When we moved my Conn 651 from the house of its previous owner, it was too wide for the door so we had to remove the door and the doorframe just to get it outside!
