  • Help moving a Lowrey H25R-2 Theatre Symphonic Organ

Hi! Thanks for checking out my thread! I am selling this organ and really don't have a clue how to move it safely. The pedal system poses a real problem for the uninitiated. [:)]

I am not a musician, but the wonderful woman who wants to buy the organ is quite accomplished and I want to make sure we do not inadvertantly damage this awesome instrument. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    G'day,

Moving an organ of this size & weight is a breeze provided you have the manpower to do it, and a piano trolley to make things really easy.

Firstly, remove the pedal board by lifting it slighty at each corner where it joins the console, simply pull it away & lean it upright on its smaller end.

Then get a couple of worthyblokes to lift the console at one end, slide a piano trolley underneath and wheel it out the front door, grab the pedals & bench and follow, and you're done![Y]

    Cheers,

    Ian

Thank you Ian! Are there any wires or attachments of any kind on the pedals? I'm petrified of damaging anything!

        G'day,

No wires or anything, just lift as I mentioned then slide straight out.

        Cheers,

        Ian
