  • Save Post

Several times now, I have read some really helpful posts by several of the very amazing folks on here and I wanted to save the post for future reference.
AFAIK, I can subscribe to the thread to help me keep track of useful threads (and the useful posts inside) but I would like a way to save individual posts so that I can organize and find them on my "subscriptions", "personal info", or "settings" page.
I've noticed that the most recent posts that I mark as "helpful" show up at the bottom of my "settings" page. That is nice but I would like to be able to see all of them and possibly organize them so I can find and reference them easier.
Is this possible? Is it already there and I missed it somewhere? Thanks.

Being able to save individual posts is a good idea, but one not supported by the Forum software.

I think your best option would be to bookmark the posts and organize the bookmarks in your browser. To bookmark a post:
    1. Click on the post number found next to the checkbox in the date bar above the post. That will cause the URL specific to that post to placed in your browser's address bar.
    2. Use your browser's bookmarking facility to mark and organize.

If you're really ambitious and savvy, there's a way to make a thread page on your local computer that references a custom list of posts. I've done it but don't have much recollection of how I did it. The key is to open a thread page as plain text and see how it's constructed. Every unique post has a unique ID number and can be referenced as such.
