  • "default (37 bytes)" json download?

With the new software on the forum, each time I post something the browser goes into "waiting mode" and then I get a notification the website wants me to download a 37 byte json script(?) to execute. I always cancel this and then the site hangs until I stop it and just reload the page. The post is on the site so that script has nothing to do with posting.

Now what is this thing? If it doesn't do anything sensible (it probably doesn't because the posts come through fine) then please make it stop.

EDIT: when I start a new thread it is 137 bytes long... Wonder how long it will be with an EDIT?

EDIT2: answer to the question above: 24 bytes :D

FYI, much of the forum page data is loaded asynchronously by javascript calls from the client. The server responds to these requests and uses JSON formatting for the response. The only reason that you're seeing this message that I can think of is that you've blocked javascript or a related security setting in your browser. The browser is asking you to accept the response. If you decline, you're going to hang. I've never seen such a message, so I don't know where to point you.
