  • Differences Between ‘Posts’ & ‘Latest Activity’.

    Admin,

I thought switching between ‘Posts' and ‘Latest Activity' just affected the order of display but I now see there are other differences. A comment under Posts shows on a grey background under the relevant reply, whereas it shows as a reply under Latest Activity. The original poster's signature and other details are not shown when viewing in Latest Activity format. Is it possible for both viewing formats to adopt the ‘Posts' style?

Latest Activity is an alternate view of the Forum contents for the purpose of quickly viewing the latest responses in topics, channels, and the entire Forum in a concise manner. It doesn't waste space by including redundant information such as signatures, user information, and social media links.

Whereas comments in the Post view appear under the post being commented on regardless of when they were added, they are displayed in strict reverse chronological order in the Latest Activity view.

If your desire is to view posts in reverse chronological order with all the bells & whistles of the Posts view, jump to the end of the topic and scroll in the other direction.

That's fine thanks. I'd forgotten about this way of doing it.
