  • Hierarchy of user reputations?

Perhaps I have too much time on my hands but I noticed that I am no longer 'A glorious beacon of light' and am now 'A name known to all'. I want to know if somewhere there is a posting that shows the hierarchy of these. Thanks.

    Who are you again?O:-)

Seriously, I've never known what the different levels are, not that it makes much difference, but I certainly understand your curiousity.

        Lamar,

Hover your mouse just above the red bars below your name, and you'll find out that you are "a splendid one to behold.";-)

        Michael

P.S. I just knew everyone was better-looking than me!

Boy, is that ever inaccurate... I'm a scary one to behold... At least it didn't claim I was an organist. :)

I've been promoted. Now I'm a glorious beacon of light. Christopher, I'm falling upward into your old slot. :)

Now this is a forum feature that I had not discovered until now. What a hoot! No doubt our Admin is behind it.

Wikipedia to the rescue. "The reputation of a social entity is an opinion about that entity." Boy, I'm glad they cleared that up for us.

I believe it is "beyond reproach" which makes a lot more sense

I think it was discussed at some point in the old forum. At that time it was related to the number of posts a person had made. So it might be that ChristopherDB113 just passed 100 posts.

I must be thinking about the dynamics.

I was looking through the member list and it doesn't look like the dynamics are associated with anything anymore.

Here's a little more information. Though not much info on the number of levels or the thresholds of the levels. It looks like the actual levels can be set by admin or left to default.

That information is mostly obsolete and pertains to the previous reputation system. Reputation here is determined by Likes. There is no way to negatively impact a user's reputation.
