Slower than normal response the past few days?

I hesitate to open a can of worms, however: What subscription level of paid membership would be necessary to allow this Forum to run at lightening speed at least 99% of the time?

I'd rather keep my $$$. (Stingy church musician, me...)Recently I have gotten a lot of error messages though and had to reload numerous pages. Any ideas what is going on? Maybe good ol' 1More filled up too much server space and that's causing it.[:@]

Several of us have stopped receiving e-mail alerts. The admin is working on the problem.

Philip, I sent you a PM recently. I assume that you didn't receive an alert of its presence.

I'm not seeing any problems in the logs now. Subscription messages are not necessarily sent instaneously. They're run in batches periodically.

As an alternative to email notifications, you can set up an RSS feed or try clicking on the My Discussions box on the right side of the main page for a listing of thediscussionsof the topics you've been participating in.

Hmm. I might have to try RSS.

It's been a day since that big batch of alerts came through, and nothing. I tried changing my email address, and checked the spam box, nothing.

Replies HAVE been posted on my threads though.

Is there a way to get alerts that a feed has updated via RSS, or do I have to check them regularly?

The beauty of the email is they "Ding" you when a message arrives. I only turn on the browser once an email tells meposts have arrived in the threads...

a whole stack came through overnight while I slept.

I have noticed a slower loading and a few more errors of late. Perhaps the forum is at an all time popular peak and the punters can't stay away, gobbling bandwidth!
