  • Can't figure out the gallery

I tried to follow these instructions to post pictures in the Gallery:
    https://organforum.com/forums/forum/...in-the-gallery

I went to the gallery tab and created a new album, "R-230 for sale." I then went to the Upload File tab and uploaded a bunch of pictures. Now, if I go to "My gallery", I can see "R-230 for sale - From Category: Public Gallery." Unfortunately, it says "0 files". If I click on that underlined link with the name of my album (just above the row with "Delete," "Properties," and "Edit Files," I come to a page that has my "R-230" title, but then says "No image to display." (link: https://organforum.com/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=469)

However, if instead I click on "Edit files," I see all my pictures. If I click on "Sort my pictures," I can select my R-230 album, and I can see filenames and thumbnails to reorder. It looks like the pictures are really there, but somehow they don't appear in the album when I try to view it.

What's going on, and how do I fix it? I find the interface rather confusing.

    Mlaird,

Your photos in the Gallery need to be approved by Admin before they are visible to anyone. I'm sure you can figure out why if you think long enough. Even Moderator's photos need to be approved by Admin.

    Hope that helps.

Oh - that does make sense, but I posted those pictures quite a while ago and they still haven't been approved. Do I need to explicitly ask permission for someone to take care of this step?

I should receive an automated email alert when gallery items are pending moderation and submissions are usually reviewed and approved within 24 hours. If your submitted items are still pending after 24 hours, alert me with a private message.

Something must have gone wrong this time, since I uploaded those pictures on April 26. They are appearing now, so thank you for taking care of the problem!
