• newbie with a baldwin tone cabinet ea-5

Hi, I am a stereo accumulator (way beyond collector) and I recently came across a Baldwin EA-5 Tone Cabinet. It appears to be a mostly conventional audio amplifier with extra terminal strips for control of organ funtions. The rating is 4 x 60 + 1 x 120 Lo pass, but this thing is built like a tank. The power supplyis capable of at least 960 watts rms continous. The output section has 12TO-3 type output transistorswhich innormal configuration are usually capable of at least 75 watts rms each with gobs of spare for headroom. It weighs 63 lbs and measures 18"w x 7"h x 26"d.

I was hoping someone here could tell me what it might be worth and/or what it originally would be part of.It has an inspection tag from 1989.

    Thank you in advance.

The Baldwin EA-5 is the 5 channel amplifier Baldwin used with its church organs. Since Baldwin is no longer in business, the value of the amplifier is difficult to determine. I've seen them on eBay starting at about $50 and going as high as $250
