awhile back I remember there were websites with simple speed selector switches made with light switches. I have a leslie 16 and I can't be bothered to pay the cost on ebay for custom foot selectors. I would like to see if this is something I can make.

Surely this can be done with a soldering iron and over the counter stuff, right???

Not sure what he used though but it works with a DC motor. I don't think the lights peed selector switches work right with AC motors as they may make them overheat. On this forums "Building your own Leslie" link there is a guy, Skippy, who has experimented with this. I did see a post somewhere else about a variable speed switch that Ace Hardware sells for about 10$ that I think someone had success with fan-type motors with. Someone also suggested a sewing machine foot pedal but I don't know if that would work..
