hello all! I have located an allen organ and I believe from the pics, it is an ADC 2m model. It has 9 pistons under the swell..i'm assuming set, gens 1-7, and cancel. It does have the memory B from what I can see in the pics of the black tablet. On the right side, is the red LCD piston "announcer"if you will. This organ is coming from a church that has been purchased by another church in the past year. I am told the organ may need a sound board and amp..help! what does this mean?? Supposedly there are external speakers that have been lost but the pic shows grill cloth on the console...i'm assuming internals?? What am I up against??

Re: getting an allen adc 2m and have questions
Hello,

Sounds like you may be getting an ADC-420 or something like that. Fortunately, you have an excellent resource in your area. I'd suggest that you look at the Musical Instrument Technicians Association for a service person in your area and call him. I'd recommend John Birdsong from that list.

The organ would have a "blind" capture action, which means that the tabs wouldn't move when you press a piston. It sounds from your description that they are settable, though. It sounds as though it may need a logic board, and these usually run in the $500-$800 range--should one need to be replaced. Hard to believe they've misplaced the internal speakers! One can always add external speakers as well.

Not sure I've helped, but hope so.

Michael
Way too many organs to list, but I do have 5 Allens:- MOS-2 Model 505-B / ADC-4300-DK / ADC-5400 / ADC-6000 (Symphony) / ADC-8000DKC

Re: getting an allen adc 2m and have questions
Hello, Pianoman.

Welcome to the forum. You know who I am, of course.Feel free to contact me by phone or facebook.Tell me what church it's coming out of and perhapsI can fill youin about the situation. I may have sold it and/or installed it.

It may not need a TG board, as failures of that board have been rare. More likely to be a power supply problem. Will be glad to advise you on speakers, etc.
