  • Allen Organ HC-14/15 Speakers

From time to time the question arises as to what crossover frequencies Allen used in their speakers.

The HC-14/15 seems to fit a Butterworth filter at 12 dB/octave with crossover frequencies of about 522 Hz and 6,045 Hz. It includes a Zobel (impedance compensation circuit) for the woofer.

This may be useful for those trying to find a replacement for the midrange or tweeter.

Thank you for sharing this technical information, Toodles. I'm sure it will come in handy in the future--especially for me with access to the Allens I use.
