allen 282-c power supply adjustment

hi, power supply shows 37 volts instead of 27 volts. adjustment knob does not seem to work, i turn it but voltage stays the same. what should i check. thanks for any help.

Ok, potentiometer tests good. Changed 2n3055 transitior and power shuts down when I turned power switch to on. Put old transistor back in still at 37 volts. Model 905-0064-1 power supply

replaced 2n3055 now down to 29 volts
