  • Kimball one note dead on one stop

    Hello,
I have a Kimball model number 695 organ, and on the solo manual 16' tibia, key no. 6 (A#) does not function. For the same stop, all other octaves of A# sound correct. On every other solo tibia, key 6 A# works and sounds as it should. On the Accompaniment manual, key no. 6 (A#) on any voice (all of which are 8') has no lower resonance, and has a high, stringy sound. 8' on solo works completely fine. I have switched around solo keyer boards, and the problems continues with the A# (Believe keyer not at fault). I switched the Oscillator/Divider board, and the problem did follow to the board's new location (maybe the problem?). As much as I think a divider IC on the Osc/Div may be shot, as is common, the pedal A# works and sounds as it should. However, the Osc/Div Schematic says that K4 goes to the pedal, so maybe K5 is for the bottom octave solo? In this case, then maybe indeed the single divider is non-functioning, as seems to be a somewhat common problem. Or maybe there is a problem on the 16' flute filter? But then why is the 8' Accompaniment affected? Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction to fix the A#. Also, if you believe the single divider (Motorola MFC4040) is dead, where could I find a new, or old new stock IC, as I haven't had much luck in finding one? To help, here is a link to pictures of some schematics.
    Thanks!
