  • Need a replacement key contact switch for an Allen ADC 1110

Does anyone know where I could get a replacement key contact switch for an Allen ADC 1110?

I’m in the middle of a midi conversion and I have a key contact that I can’t get to stop hanging. I’ve cleaned it with contact cleaner and soft bruh. I resoldered the wire and common but it still hangs I tried testing it it with a voltage meter and can’t get a an ohmmeter reading. It just says Lo. All the other contacts measure at about 1.48 ohms but this one does not get higher than .03. So I swapped out the high C6 for
F#3 for now to tie us over.

    Thanks for your help!

Maybe it's one of these used in pinball machines...

But it's very unusual to need to replace one. Since you've already taken it out, can you look at it with a good light and see where it's making contact? Should be a simple matter of removing whatever has managed to glom onto the leaves and is conducting electricity across what should be an insulating material. Is there a blob of solder stuck in there?

      John,

Russ creates multiple threads for his posts.

I've merged a couple of the threads. Essentially, all of them relate to the original post.

In one of his other threads, he discloses over-soldering the contacts so they shorted out. Hence the need for replacement contacts. He's been given advice on removing the solder and wicking it out, as well as some advice on the insulation. Good luck following the conversation.
