    Organ Service Corporation; still in business???

    Hello folks,
    I have been trying to reach Carla at Organ Service Corporation for quite some time;
    The website appears to be down as is the phone line, and my emails are bouncing back as undelivered.

    Does anyone here know if they have closed the business or maybe just website/computer issues?:confused:

    Thanks

    Sounds like they've quit. I tried the website myself and got the same as you did. I had a hard time getting Carla to respond to my questions, and an order, five years ago. I finally decided to buy a parts organ to refurbish what I needed. Drove 800 miles one way
    to get a parts organ. It was in such great shape I used the parts organ as my primary instrument, and used the former instrument for parts. It's worked out well.

      Hello Jay999, thanks for the reply.

      I had bought some Pratt Read contact springs from them at a reasonable price some time ago. Without being able to connect now, I'm forced to buy the springs from a 3 party source, which of course, wants 10 times the cost.

      Does anyone know another reasonable source of the Pratt Read keyboard contact springs (for a Schober organ)???

        James56,

        Forum member, davidecasteel has built his own Schober Recital organ, and may know of another source. Hope that helps.

        Also, welcome to the Forum. I hope you continue participating here.

          I used to have several Pratt Read manuals for Schober Recital organs, but I think I've sent all of them to other people. I don't have any spare parts for them. Sorry. There was another person who posted here that he had some Schober parts--you might try a search for it.

            I've repurposed a set of Recital keyboards themselves for experimentation, but I still have the key contact circuit boards with the spring contacts, actuators, and busbars in near-perfect condition.

            What's your location?
