My mother has a Conn Rhapsody Model 628 Deluxe. My father bought it for her in 1971, and it worked fine until about a year ago when it stopped playing altogether. There is a thump when the power is switched on, but none of the keys or pedals or percussion buttons produce any sound. I got the number of the guy who used to fix the organ at our church, but he apparently retired because the number has been disconnected. Does anyone know of a repair person in the Phoenix area?
Try the website mitatechs.org and click on "service locator." These are listings of members of the MITA group (Musical Instrument Technicians Association) and are reliable and trustworthy guys and gals who usually specialize in electronic organ and/or keyboard repairs.

Thanks very much. I tried the website and found a place in Tucson. I'll give them a call and see if someone would be willing to drive up here and see if it can be fixed.
The person in Tucson doesn't travel this far, but she gave me the number of a guy in Mesa. He came here last week and, after working on it for a little over 3 hours, was able to figure out the problem and fix it. Thanks again for your help!
