Issue with Allen MDS-5 freezing

My organ teacher has an Allen mds-5 in her home. Recently, when increasing the volume with the expression pedal, the green indicator bars freeze quickly after rising only a little. After this, moving the expression or crescendo pedals does not cause any change in the indicator bars. Also, although stops are selected no sound plays when keys or pedals are pressed. The whole organ seems to be frozen. Only after powering it off and back on does it play. Has anybody encountered this issue or know what could be causing it?

It sounds like the expression pedal sensor light has lost its dot. There are several threads on the Forum about this issue. Check these links:
