• Thomas Organ 371 power issue

    Hi there,

I have a Thomas Organ Monticello 371 that has two problems with it. The main one is that recently, while moving it, the power lead ripped out of the back. I now have a power cord with brown, yellow and green leads, and I can only see where the brown one should go. Does anyone have any idea where in the organ the others should go? I can't find anywhere that is missing wires.

The second problem is that the Moog section doesn't seem to work at all. The lights work, suggesting it is getting power, but no sound comes out. Is there something obvious I might be missing?

    Thanks very much!Davo

The green lead should connect to chassis safety ground... probably a terminal lug and sometimes on the ground lug of a terminal strip.... leaving only yellow to find... You should find the yellow carrying the return power current. Places might be on a switch, on a fuse block, or on a terminal board such that the brown lead goes through any fuses, switches and the primary of the transformer to where the yellow lead should be attached.

Please be careful as the voltages here are dangerous.
