My Allen 2110 has some very quiet stops including 8' Principal and 16' Lieblich Gedacht. Even if I put the expression pedal to the max I can barely hear them. The other stops work just fine. I actually did talk to a tech and he said he had no idea so I was hoping you ex-Allen employees (and anybody else) would have some advice. Thanks in advance for your help.

Philip,
Do you have a cage chart or voicing chart for your organ?
MichaelWay too many organs to list, but I do have 5 Allens:- MOS-2 Model 505-B / ADC-4300-DK / ADC-5400 / ADC-6000 (Symphony) / ADC-8000DKC

Not a chart but in the owner's manual has a paragraph about voicing.

Philip,
What I was looking for is which voices come from which channel. While the voicing chart doesn't necessarily list the channels, the cage chart would. I'm trying to ascertain which stops come from each channel, and if your lower-volume stops are tied to one channel or one cage card. If that's the case, that would direct us where the next step would be.
Anyone have a cage chart?

If this helps, here is the list of quiet stops (this is excluding pedal stops because my pedals are not connected to console now and the swell stops are perfectly fine):
16' Libliech Gedecht, 8' Principal, 4' Spitzflute, 2' Koplerflute, 8' Krummhorn.

These are all in channel 1. Exercise the "G" pot on the TG board for channel 1.John

Okay, so before I do something wrong, I am adjusting the 'G' Chanel 1 pot, right? However, there is a G3 and a G4 pot and they are on the top of their stacks of 4. Which 'G' do I adjust? Also, do I adjust any pots on Chanel 2?"I play the notes as they are written (well, I try), but it is God who makes the music." - Johann Sebastian Bach

This is on the board that says Tone Generator 2 (Is this the right one or should I be looking at the one above?)The abbreviations are (from top to bottom): G3, M3, T3, B3 and then G4, M4, T4, B4.
-
I've tried the upper board's pots too and nothing is happening.

OK, evidently this card adjusts 2 sets of sounds for your organ. That is true of some cards in ADC organs.
Can you look at the label on the board and tell me what type of TG card it is? In fact, could you just take a picture of your cage with the cards in it? Something's not right, and I don't want to advise you further without knowing EXACTLY what you're adjusting.
There's something else that isn't striking me right-the cage cards generally have 2 white tabs on them (1 on top and one on bottom) you use to remove the card from the cage. Your board appears to be missing those tabs. The other thing striking me wrong is how the pots are situated. Usually, you don't need to remove the cards from the cage to make the adjustments. In your photo, it looks like the card has been removed from the cage, and the pots are facing the wrong direction (towards the face of the card vs. edge of the card).

I think I figured it out. The numbers after the G, B, M, T were the channel numbers and I had been adjusting Channels 3 and 4, not 1! I figured this out because the Great's Viola softened and I wondered why and then I inferred and observed. I am taking off the top layer of boards to get to Chan. 1's board and I will adjust THOSE pots. :embarrassed:"I play the notes as they are written (well, I try), but it is God who makes the music." - Johann Sebastian Bach

Just looking at your photo, I now understand you were adjusting the wrong board. This is my first view inside an MADC cage and the tone generator boards inside. When I looked on the Internet, I saw both types of boards (one with a single additional E-Prom, and the other with double additional E-Proms). The other difference is the 3 pots on the opposite side of the board from the voicing controls. I don't know what they're for, but they appear to exist on only one of the two cage cards. That's when I realized I was over my head in advising you.
I'm glad you got your problem resolved. It's amazing how it works once you get the right board!

It's all fixed!:-> The Channel 3 board actually had a "hole" in the top so I could access the Channel 1 pots. Once I adjusted those, it all worked, Even the reverb came back! Thank you, everybody, for your help!!!;-)"I play the notes as they are written (well, I try), but it is God who makes the music." - Johann Sebastian Bach
