Hello,

I am a novice when it comes to organs. I have an organ that I am trying to get working for my grandkids. Itis in need of repair and so far I have found that the Expression Pedal needs to have a new Light Dependant Resistor (LTD), as one of the wires has borken off at the base. I do not have a part number or replacement number for that part and was wondering if anyone might know what the part number is, where I might find one and the estimated cost?

    Please help!

A few months ago I found a part number for an LDR to try for a fellow on here and he was successful in replacing it with one from either Digikey or Mouser. You might try finding the threads on here. The original one was a dual unit, but he was able to make the single unit work nicely.

I looked back and found the site that he got the part from:

      http://www.alliedelec.com/Catalog/Indices/Products.asp?sid=47A7A700134A617F&N=4294965805

I am not sure which item that we chose as the final discussion was done via regular Email which is too old to roll back. The part might have been on a page forward or backward from the above.

Essentially, he measured the resistance for me when lit by touching the broken lead and then I picked one from the above Allied catalog that was close to the low or lit resistance he measured. The web page above has spec sheets for each item that you can compare to get a suitable one. He did get back to me and verified that the chosen one worked great. They are not that expensive, so chose one from the pix at the site.

In reviewing the thread, I found that neither Digikey or Mouser carried the parts, so I found that Allied in the above site was one of the few that carried LDR's. I wish I had documented the number for future reference.

Thanks Fred, I'll get right on it. I actually found a small repair shop that agreed to try and fix my prolem. I will give him this info. I know it will help, as he was unaware of where to look for a part.

Contact user on here with ID: "venture"

He is the one that I picked out part for and he was successful... He may have the part number that he ordered.

I found the thread in the forum here, but I had sent part number directely to him via Email and don't have a record of it. He may have the email or number I had sent him in his records.

If you find it and are successful, let's post it here and any other info for future reference by others!
