    Jlane2380,

Welcome to the Forum! Help us help you. What model organ do you have? Can you take photos and share them-perhaps of the model plate that is inside the organ (generally on the back rail where the stop hinges)?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Michael

Pictures of the amps and speakers would also be helpful. I don't know if you're going to get a great hi-fi system from speakers that were designed for moving lots of air on little power... and you might find that the amps work with coaxial cable.

This site formatting can be a challenge. :-> As I was saying, I am uploading pictures of the equipment. I could upload all the speaker cabinets too but I didn't think that would matter. Also, to clarify, I do not have the actual organ :-(. Thanks again for your time.

AAAAAND HI again all. Since I am new the forum it would not let me post pics or edit the original post. I am attaching pieces of the equipment. You can see the amp model number but I have not found a diagram for this model.

          Jlane2380,

It looks like you got everything except the model plate on the back top rail where the hinge is. From the photos I saw, it looks like your organ is an older instrument, possibly from the TC-Series. Believe it or not, a photo or two of the speakers would provide a lot of information.

I didn't realize you don't have access to the organ, but the photos you provided do tell something. The middle picture is of the Random Whind generator, an Allen invention from the 1960s. The 4th photo is an amplifier, where the signal is provided to the speaker(s). Your photos also appear to show a couple of power supplies that provide power to various parts of the organ, perhaps speaker power, etc.

Hope that helps for a start.

          Michael

You got a lot of equipment from an analog organ that evidently was parted out and is well over 50 years old. Frankly, what you show in your photos is, in my opinion, rather useless. The 14-Volt DC power supply was used for the combination action. Since you don't have the organ, it is a boat anchor.

Likewise, the Whind generator, which is only marginally useful if you have an old analog organ. Many owners disconnected them. The mono T-50 amplifier probably needs new filter caps at a minimum and can't compare to a modern amplifier. If you have a multi-speed rotating Gyrophonic Projector speaker, the chassis in the last photo provided the DC voltages to control the motor. The speakers in those cabinets may be deteriorated.

I think you wasted your money buying this for use as HiFi setup, even if it was free. I say this as someone who has a working 49-year old analog organ that uses all of the parts in your photos. But that is their only value - as cheap replacements for someone who wants to maintain an instrument full of obsolete electronics.

Most of these items one can find on *Bay from time-to-time. That will probably tell you more about what they are and their potential worth. If you click on Sold items, you'll find most people aren't purchasing them in deference to modern models which do much more for less.
