Hi everyone, I'm in need of some direction. A sweet older lady had me come and look at a Wurlitzer 4070 spinet organ (70's model?) yesterday, that she absolutely loves, and really wants me to get it playable for her if possible. I ordinarily wouldn't care about anything like that, but she was so sweet that it kind of stirred me to commit to the cause. About half of the keys don't play, and the ones that do are horrendously out of tune-we are talking quarter tones here! The rotating speaker is stuck on, even though all of the switches and stops were turned off. She loves the cabinet and “feel” of the keys over her Hammond spinet, and feels the Wurlitzer, if playable, would have a little more variety of tone. I told her I'd do some research and see if there was any miracle that could be worked with it. Is it cooked??
