  • Looking for a replacement bulb for Yamaha YC-45D combo organ

    Hi all Yamaha lovers,

I'm going to appeal to the wisdom of the crowd! I'm looking for a replacement bulb for the expression pedal of a 1972 Yamaha YC-45D combo organ.

I have learned that the pedal uses the bulb and a photoconductive cell to change the volume, now it seems that the bulb has died the volume stays at minimum.

I was able to take the expression pedal apart and found a bulb manufactured by Toshiba that is approx. 9 mm diameter across the base, and approx. 27 mm long. The code on it is A24V5W. The parts list in the YC-45D service manual calls it with a "lamp 24V 5W part 401000JB000170".

So - any idea what it is and where to purchase a similar bulb? Thanks in advance!
