• Hi from Turkey

Hi. First, i want to say; sorry my bad English.. I hope
understand... I'm from Turkey. I don't see church organ in my life. I
can play piano long years. I want play Bach Organ Works but i havent
pedals. I have two piano. Consol piyano and Yamaha Clavinova. I start
build pedals for my clavinova at last month. I finished this. I take
help from only Internet and videos.. I have a problem, i lift up my
clavinova and according to organ stool. (organ stool is handmake, i
make last week) I need some help to sit position and stool. I can
playing pedals but piano keyboard is far to me, i close to keyboard,
but i can't playing pedals. :) What is true measuring and sizesfor
organ stool height, Pianist position is impossible for organ playing.
I send some picture .

Re: Hi from Turkey

Okay, I'll try to give you a few hints.

First go to http://www.laukhuff.de/english/kata_e.html and download category 8 and 9. You will find some clues there.

Next some dimentions:
- height from the top of the pedals (white notes) to the top of the (piano) keyboard = 755mm
- the pedals relative to the manual... in your 7-th picture, the left side of the pedals as they are there in the photo should be about 310mm into your piano. So the pedals should be under your piano.

Hope this helps.

- I lifted my piano at 2 days ago, now i measure, its 750mm [:D] I
estimate from videos and picture. It's true (ehh nearly, 5mm short than
755)

- Yes, pedals are relative, and its can enter to piano.

I will remake my stool. It's more wide and more high than old. Finished sandpaper and color work, next step varnish.

My clavinova's pedals (sustain pedal, piano pedal..) are high. (i lift up with some wooden wedge) If i want to play rachmaninoff, it'^s like a earthquake :) i must solution this problem.

Downloaded your link, i will read..

I played bach's choral(BWV 227.1), but all partitions on my hands. First, i will correction this, remove pedals partitions my left hand (anyway it's hard, if on my 5th finger for left hand), and i will try use my legs :)

Thanks your help, and sorry again for my bad English, i hope you understand [:)]
