  • Hauptwerk Wurlitzer 310 stops greyed out

Hi everyone. I have been away from your site for a while, so just finding my way back.

I am getting into Hauptwerk 'learning', using a lowish tech laptop: Fujitsu Siemens.
    3GB RAM.
Intel Core Duo CPU T5750 @ 2.00 GHz 2.00 GHz.
64bit op sys. Running Windows 8.1 Pro.
My main desktop computer is more powerful than this laptop, but it transmits loads of weird shushing through the Steinberg UR22 mkII interface and on to the organ. (Lowrey Sensation Limited Edition).
The laptop also sends a certain amount of shushing, but almost acceptable.

My problem is that using any three of the Hauptwerk software i.e.: (Free, Basic or Advanced Editions), the Wurlitzer 310 has many stops greyed out; not available.
Some of these are 'strings' which I would love to access.

Bear in mind that these are unavailable even before I switch on any others.

Please, any help or advice would be smuchly appreciated.
This has to be solved before I buy anything from Hauptwerk.

Yours truly and with GREAT hope.

Wed 4/18/2018 11:18 am. Confused me a while. They're *teasers* for the pay versions; buy the Paramount Organ and some hauptwerk upgrade version and the stops are functional. I would live with it a while and fix any other problems before spending any $.

Thanks JG for the good tip. I think that would be wise.

I have now found out that using the free version of Hauptwerk, and the free Paragon Wurlitzer 310, some stops are unavailable (greyed out).
So If one upgrades to the Basic version or Advanced, one also needs to buy what to me is the cheapest organ available (320), then the two work together and all stops are available.

This seems like a good buy to me. Hauptwerk Basic at $249 and the Paragon Wurlitzer 320 (same as the 310 but all stops useable) at $99.

The above combination is supposed to work well with my Intel Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T5750 @ 2.00GHz 2.00 GHz ...and 3 GB RAM. 64 bit Op Sys. x64-based processor.

My laptop as above is quite basic; so if the 320 works well on this system, I am a happy chappie.

I am now waiting for delivery of both of the above.

        Fingers crossed.
