    I am pleased to present you my new home organ. This model is Intrada III by Mixtuur.

        Thank you for sharing these recordings. I was especially interested in Barber's Adagio for Strings and your interpretation of it. The Strickland version has performance rights limitations, but I see you came up with your own arrangement, so the restrictions don't affect your version.

            I agree with you, John. Mixtuur would probably be able to sell them in the US to people who want a turnkey Hauptwerk setup. Unfortunately, they do not have a US distributor. I am not a fan of DIY projects for Hauptwerk. I realize that many members of this forum have the expertise for such things, but some of us just want "plug 'n play."

              Most impressive. Could you tell is a bit more about the console controls? In particular, the functions of the three screens over the keyboards versus the free-standing monitor sitting on top of the console.

                Sure.
                The console's touch screens control the registers as well as the various options (volume, recording options, temperaments, setzer, etc ...). The separate monitor (recovered) also allows you to manage the registers, or to show the console of the organ used.

                    Wonderful playing of the Messiaen. Thanks for posting this. I used to play this work... a couple decades ago... You have motivated me to find the score and see if I can get my hands working again.

                  I really liked the Boëllmann Priere. I've always enjoyed that part of the piece. I was curious about your registration choices, though. In the Animato section, it sounded like you were using a Celeste combination on the Great. I've always heard it with a Solo Flute on the melody line, even though the marks seem to indicate it should have the Swell coupled.

                  What is your take? The combination of Solo Flute sounds especially nice against the Swell (uncoupled), but I'm guessing it's not what the composer wanted?

                    in the animato, the Great is coupled with the Récit (asked on the original score), so it gives a celestial effect. And the flûte stop near the end is the magnificentSeraphon flöte of the Positif.

                    Thank you for the clarification. I was aware of the score markings, but I'm not used thinking of a coupled Celeste to use as a solo stop. Mind you, I'm not saying it is incorrect, but it's the first time I've come across such a registration. I guess that's what makes that section of this particular piece so nice!

                  Another question about the screens -- If you do not use an external monitor at all, can you control everything using only the three small screens above the uppermost keyboard? Also, what are the functions of the pistons under the lowest keyboard?

                    Dear John,

                    of course you can use all the controls you want without the external monitor, just with the three screens. But the monitor is usefull to have a quick look on your registration, for example.
                    The pistons under the first keyboard are: S(et) 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 - + Menu A(nnul).

                  My favorite is the Messiaen, but then I'm a fool for that sort of thing!

                  Awesome sounds and spectacular playing. A really nice instrument. The Dudelange sample set is of course superb, and how fortunate you are to be able to play that fabulous organ right in your own home!
