  • Need price info for Father-in-law

Excellent condition Lowrey Millennium Limited Edition model # LX2000 Serial # 15054. My Father-in-law is ill and unable to play it anymore. I have absolutely no idea what something like this is worth though I know he paid $8000.00 maybe 3 years ago.

If anyone can help me out with even a rough estimate I'd really appreciate it. It also has a very nice bench.

I'll upload a photo when I'm off moderator status at least I think that's how this works.

I'm not sure I can help with the price of a father-in-lawO:-), but I can help with the photos. Go ahead and post them, and they can be approved by any moderator.

To attach the photos, click on Go Advanced just under the quick reply window. Then, below that window, you can click on the Manage Attachments button, and I'm sure you can figure it out from there. If they're not immediately approved, one of us can approve the photos.

My best wishes with finding a suitable buyer for your father-in-law's organ.

    Michael

It has been over a decade since I joined, so I can't remember what my first few posts were like. Are you sure you clicked on "Go Advanced?"

Sadly, only worth a fraction of what your father paid, and a tiny fraction of what it originally cost almost 20 years ago.

Prices do depend on location, which is asked for in the 'sticky' at the top of this section. Scouring a few forums and groups, you may well be looking at a sub $1000 figure - later models have sold for less. Problems are 1) there is no support from Lowrey any more for this model and limited or no spare parts are available 2) there is little demand for organs generally 3) most potential buyers are aware that it's a buyers' market and know their values pretty well.
It's not what you play. It's not how you play. It's the fact that you're playing that counts.

Thanks much for the information. Frankly I'm not surprised at your estimate. I know nothing about organs but I do own a classic car and belong to a classic car club and it's a hot market but some cars, no matter how beautiful they are, bring almost nothing whereas a popular year and model no matter the condition will get you fifty grand.

The organ in question is located in Kent near Seattle, WA.
