I have acquired an Estey Organ Serial number 256262 (vox Humana tremolo appears in the back too, near serial number) we were going to destroy it as we are house clearing but I thought I’d try and find out if it has any value.
    Many Thanks

    Mrs. R.,

If you have photos, that will help. Also, reed organ buyers appear in pockets around the country. If you can provide a general location (i.e. State and/or County), it will help provide a realistic estimate of what it's worth.

On a discouraging note, not many reed/pump organs are worth much more than $50-$100 (if that), but there are always those few that are a collector's dream, and someone may pay even higher. May I suggest a *raigsList listing for the organ? Also, if you browse those for your area, you might obtain an idea of its worth too. Even *Bay sold listings can provide that information.

If you would like to post photos of the organ, please contact Admin so he can allow your photos of the organ to be added to your list. If you don't get more responses here, let me know, and I can move your value question to the Reed/Pump Organ Forum on this site where it should get more views. When it comes time to sell the organ, you can post a Classified free here by clicking on the link at the top of every page.

Best of luck with finding the value.

    Michael

P.S. Meanwhile, you could peruse the Estey Organ Museum website here: http://www.esteyorganmuseum.org/reso...d-enthusiasts/
