  • Wilcox & White pump organ

    I have a Wilcox & White pump organ. Serial # 60005
Parlor or Chapel Organ, 5 octave. Dates prob. late 19th century.
Dark wood, with hand-carved decorative details. Elaborate fretwork on back panel. Finial edging.

Similar catalog listings indicate the case is probably black walnut with ivory keys.
All original keys and organ stops in good condition. Original brocade fabric over sound vents.
13 stops: Sub Base, Viola, Diapason, Bourdon, Octave Base, Diapason Forte, Vox Humana, Octave Coupler, Clarionet, Flute, Melodia, Clariana, Vox Jubiletta.

Missing lower panel above pedals. Top needs refinishing.
Bellows need replacing/repair for organ to work.

Hi, Frandee... You need to get a few posts in before you can post images. Drag and drop doesn't work either - note it's showing the path on your hard drive.

Where are you located? I paid $100 for the Kimball in my sig in Atlanta and it was playable then and still is. Reed organs are hard to price because they vary so much. The carvings may or may not add value as they are hard to strip/restore. And if it can't huff and puff, then you may be looking for a restorer, collector, or somebody that has one and needs it for parts. The sub-bass is a good feature.

      Hi,
I believe I saw that one on CL, and I posted it to the FB group Reed Organs on Craigslist.
It is desirable because it has many sets of reeds, hence more interesting sounds and combinations, once its restored. I wish you the best in finding it a good home.
